All's Forgotten

2000 b m Darshaan - Forget About It (Be My Guest)

Bred in Kentucky by John Muldoon out of Forget About It, a winning Be My Guest mare, and raced by her breeder with Paddy Prendergast in Ireland, for whom she won a mile maiden at Killarney.

All’s Forgotten spent the early part of her stud career with Ennistown Stud before her sale to Daylesford Stud in December 2007.

At the time of her sale to Daylesford, the mare had a yearling on the ground by Galileo who had been bought that autumn out of Goffs by Jim Bolger. The trainer had been a fierce supporter of Galileo early on in his stud career and this particular youngster, Gan Amhras, added fuel to the fire by going on to run third to Sea The Stars in the 2009 2,000 Guineas.

His emergence set the seal on the path taken in later years by All Forgotten’s stud career. Over the next few seasons, the mare visited Galileo on five occasions and his sons New Approach and Gleneagles on another three. It was an union that yielded further excellent results.

Shantaram, the first to be bred at Daylesford, was saddled by John Gosden to win the 2012 Bahrain Trophy having previously run the Derby runner-up Main Sequence to three-quarters of a length in the Lingfield Derby Trial.

Shantaram now stands in Ireland at Coolagown Stud and his first crop are reportedly well regarded on the point-to-point circuit.

Also now at stud is All Forgotten’s 2011 colt Forever Now, who enjoyed his finest moment when successful in the 2014 March Stakes at Goodwood. Also third in the 2014 Bahrain Trophy, he stands at Norton Grove Stud.

Of particular importance to the stud, however, was To Eternity. Foaled in 2013, she ran out the six-length winner of the 2016 Chalice Stakes at Newmarket and also finished third in the Princess Royal Stakes. Her place as a black-type daughter of All’s Forgotten made her an important mare for Daylesford going forward, and indeed, her first foal True Testament (by Siyouni), was a leading French two-year-old of 2021 by virtue of his close second in the Prix de Conde for Andre Fabre.

In all, All’s Forgotten has produced a remarkable ten winners. In addition to the above high-class Galileo quartet, they include Exulto (by Rock Of Gibraltar), Rae’s Creek (by New Approach), Bizzario (by Raven’s Pass), Uptown Funk (by Galileo), Sacred Path (by Galileo) and Immortal Beloved (by Gleneagles).

All’s Forgotten is now retired but she leaves behind a strong legacy at Daylesford, notably through her daughters To Eternity and Sacred Path).
